Layered Cross Stitch Bookbinding

Join us for a skill packed day of sustainable creativity with Cassandra Baron, learning her special contemporary take on bookbinding with this intriguing Layered Cross Stitch Bookbinding workshop. Create a chunky book with your choice of leather or faux leather cover and decorative exposed cross stitch incorporating different colours of thread. You can add lots of decorative pages, pockets, envelopes, a fastening and beaded page divider, all personalised to your own taste and inspirations. Once you’ve finished your book you’ll have some time to gather a selection of materials from our stash and start work on a second book that you can continue making at home with Cass’s follow up instructions to refer to. You will leave the workshop with a finished book as well as the skills and confidence to carry on bookbinding at home. We’ll even send follow up video instructions that you can refer to for a reminder of what is covered in class, and if you need a little time to finish at home.
